The Old Central Point Location

This is a flyer from the 70's I believe.
This is our shop that was located in Central Point, Oregon.

Block Building Info

This block building is the original Cartwright's built by Mack Williams in 1973 and bought soon after by Jim and Sandy Cartwright. This building was originally meant for just a slaughterhouse, but as the business grew, other buildings were added on for more departments.

April 24, 2007 Old Building Before Demolition

This is the front and side view of the building to be demolished. The picture of the house is another lot directly behind this building that was purchased in order to make room for our new building and parking lot (the house will be demolished as well). This lot will basically be asphalt.

New Construction!

Today is Tuesday, April 24, 2007 and decomishioning of the old retail/wholesale building has begun. We have chosen Batzer construction for the job and they have numerous subcontractors hired to help.
Today, the task at hand was to start by moving a freezer (in the form of a shipping container) from the back of the old building next to our current retail building. We will need this freezer for our custom product (farm animals and game). Batzer brought in a crane at 7:30 AM for this job and the kids and I were right there to see all of the action.
Also, Batzer is moving rails for custom product from our old building to our current retail location.

I will try to update this blog as often as possible. I plan to post numerous pictures to show progress of the construction. You will also see images of my kids in the construction pics because they want to be a part of this as much as possible.
