The cooler cases are now being installed. The retail floor is complete.
We should be open by the first of the year. Sooner if possible.

Jamie chose a nice, bright deli back splash for an easy clean surface.

New Sign

Our new sign is up and lit. We expect to have the sign on the building in the next couple weeks. We are waiting for dry weather to finish paint on the exterior of the building, and also to start stripping on the parking lot.

The Front Is Almost Complete

Progress Is Being Made

This is the retail floor. The meat cases will line this wall right about where the ladder is.

This is the wine and grocery area.

This is the hallway to the restrooms, office, and breakrooms.

This is the hallway (on the right) to the deli kitchen.
The stairs lead up to the offices above the deli.

This is the front of the building.
The large concrete box is the grease trap which will be buried.

This is a view of the front of the building. The black plastic was covering a sidewalk that was poured in the morning.
The orange lines on the asphalt are an outline of the landscape and parking lot. The front of the building will have an awning with a porch like effect.

This is a view of the west side of the building. We will have a sidewalk and grass for outdoor seating. To the right of this tractor is Allen Creek. It is a nice area for dining.

The window on the right is the cashier's window in the business office. On the left is bathrooms, break room, dry storage, mop closet.

The large window is the window for the cutting room on the retail floor. Meat cases will wrap around this area, just like our current counter and cutting room.

This is looking north down the hallway from the business office towards the retail floor. Where the scissor lift is will be wine and specialty grocery. By the front wall is the produce department.

This is a small picture of the rails that Batzer has built for the building.

Steady Progress

All coolers and freezers are installed. This is an entry to the custom cool down room off of the loading dock.

This is the deli with Jamie and Michelle's office up above. The deli is plumbed and wired and is awaiting sheet rock.

This is a view down the hallway of the coolers and freezers.

Fair Time

Kaden Cartwright found this bench when we went to go enter his cookies into the fair. I explained that his grandpa sponsored this bench and then I talked him into a picture. His cookies won 3rd place!

Masonry

These are the masons working on a small room in the back of the new building. Our building with not be all brick, just this small area.

If your not familiar with concrete, you may find this interesting. Concrete is poured into the truck on the left by one of those big trucks with the spinning barrels on the back. Then this truck (on the left) pumps the concrete up into this pipe. This pipe is controlled by a remote. The guy standing on the far left with the orange box is operating the remote.

Pouring Concrete by the dawn's early light.

At 5:30 AM, on August 3rd, the first concrete was poured at the site.

Happy Father's Day

I'm sure you have all noticed that I have not updated this blog. If you have driven by the store, you have seen that construction has stalled. Do not be concerned. Jamie decided to move the building back a smidge to add more parking to the front of the store for our customers. Therefore, we are waiting on approvals for this and a few other clearances and then the building will be underway again.
Construction should begin soon. We hope before the end of this month.

Happy Father's Day Jamie and Mitch (my dad). Thank you for all that you do.
